This has been on many UK beauty bloggers YouTube channels for a while now. I bought it because as they said, it’s suited towards more dry skin than oil – and that’s me! This primer cost me £9.99 from boots. Not a bad price! The bottle is pretty and sleek, it has a rose gold pump – excellent for hygiene! And it actually dispenses the right amount of product without going over board!
On the left here is the product just pumped out. It’s white with tiny, tiny glitter particles. Just enough to make it shimmer – you won’t look like that guy from Twilight when he walks into the sun! On the right is the product slightly rubbed in so you can see the shimmer!
Now on my skin, once I’d applied it to my face, I barely saw any shimmer which was disappointing! I thought maybe it’ll make my makeup just glow instead then! So I applied my trusty old MAC pro longwear foundation (NW15!) with the beauty blender. Still nothing! Granted it did sit nice on my face, but it didn’t change anything hugely!
So I went the whole day with no compliments on how my skin was ‘glowing’ or how alive I looked! Disappointed! And to top things off, when I got home and looked in the mirror, my makeup had all separated! Now I know that my pro longwear foundation never does this, so it must have been the primer! Not only did I not glow – I also looked a melted mess! Wahhhh!
I don’t think this is for any skin type if I’m honest! I really wanted it to work, but it just didn’t! Let me know if you’ve had a positive experience with it! I know it’s been raved about, so y’all must be out there!
