I thought I’d do a collection of my favourite face masks that I always reach for & re-purchase! Let me know if you’ve tried any of these!
Mask of Magnaminty – Lush
I’ve bought this mask time & time again over the years. It’s a great natural mask if you don’t want to use anything too harsh on the skin. It smells amazing – mint & earthy scents come through strong for me. It’s got crushed aduki beans in it for a soft exfoliation too. This really soothes my skin, the honey in it reduces my redness & it helps with oiliness too as it contains kaolin! It also comes in self-preserving now, so it lasts way longer – the only pet peeve I did have with Lush masks.
Glow Mud Mask – Pixi
I absolutely love Pixi’s Glow range! This Glow Mud Mask feels so freaking soft when you apply this on your face! So bloody silky! It sets really well & does give a glow to your skin, it washes off easy too, so no scrubbing needed! It contains kaolin clay & sea salt – great for oily skin again. Quite pricey for the size – £18, but it has lasted me around 6 months using once a week/fortnight.
Enzymatic Peel – AlumierMD
I’ve written about this here recently. Not really a mask as such, but one of my most effective leave-on treatments! You only need to keep this on for 3-5 minutes – great for those who have no patience for masking! It has great ingredients – lactic acid, fruit enzymes & aloe vera! It’s a chemical exfoliator, so no scrubbing involved, it’ll just eat away at your dead skin cells & leave you with the most glowy skin you’ve ever seen! It’s really helped my blemishes – my spots heal a lot quicker & little scars have become a lot less visible – I use this once a week religiously.
Turmeric & Honey Mask and Pink Clay & Rose Petal Mask – Pearlessence
I found these 2 angels in TK Maxx for £4.99 each I believe – please let me know if you know where else I can buy these because I’d love to re-stock! The Turmeric & Honey one is so soothing – it’s aimed at dry/dull skin, but my oily/combination skin has benefited from this! It smells amazing too – I don’t know if you’ve ever tried making your own turmeric & honey concoction, but it absolutely reeks – this is a nicer alternative! I think the Pink Clay & Rose mask is the perfect dupe for Sand & Sky’s mask, it even smells exactly the same as it! This one slightly tingled/burned the first time i used, but it really does clear out your pores & give an even look!
Himalayan Charcoal Mask – The Body Shop
I’ve saved the best until last. My absolute favourite mask that I buy over & over again! It never fails to clear out my pores, shrink sore & angry spots & reduce my redness. I use this at least once a week. It has exfoliating bamboo charcoal pieces in it too – it can be a bitch to wash off, but I find just resting a damp, warm flannel on my face for two minutes before washing it off really helps. It smells amazing, it has a minty scent to it & leaves my skin feeling ultra clean.
