Nip & Fab Glycolic Fix Serum & Moisturiser – Review

nip & fab glycolic fix

So I’ve been using the Glycolic Fix range from Nip & Fab for well over 2 years now. I thought I’d review these 2 together as they go hand in hand!

I’ll start with the serum first. It’s a clear gel consistency that you apply 1-2 pumps of in the evening before your moisturiser. You are supposed to apply this daily & see results in 2 weeks. Whenever I use this in my evening routine, I actually don’t apply a moisturiser. I tone my face, then apply this – it normally sinks in within 5 minutes. My face does feel a little tacky, but it’s not unbearable at it. The serum contains 4% glycolic acid – this smooths the appearance of fine lines & wrinkles. It also contains ‘PoreAway,’ pore refining ingredients! I most definitely saw a difference using this, even after 1 use. The next morning, my skin was silky smooth & my pores definitely looked tighter. My redness had also calmed too.

The moisturiser is a white & creamy consistency. You are supposed to use this in the mornings as your daily moisturiser. I think it is great that it contains SPF 30 too! I found this moisturiser extremely sticky on my skin – it does contain Glycerin after all. This is normally great for helping your makeup adhere to your face, so there is a benefit I suppose! The moisturiser contains silica microspheres to smooth out & mattify your skin, niacinamide which reduces the appearance of pores & witch hazel to soothe & calm. I personally didn’t get on with this moisturiser. I felt that I got oily a lot quicker throughout the day when I was using this & it didn’t really do anything visible for me. I think normal to dry skin types would get on great with this moisturiser though!

Overall I’d definitely re-purchase the serum – I can’t believe the visible changes it gives to the skin. I do alternate this out now with my retinol so I don’t use it every evening. But it is still a staple for me for sure. I wouldn’t re-purchase the moisturiser, simply because of the oil situation. But like I said, if you’re a dry type – definitely give it a go.

Have you tried anything from this range before? I absolutely love the Glycolic range!
