Pixi Glow Tonic Toner

I can’t believe I’ve been using this toner for the past 2-3 years & haven’t written about it! Pixi very kindly sent* me this GINORMAS Glow Tonic last week, which is when I realised I’ve written absolutely no information on it!

So the main ingredient in this vibrant toner is Glycolic Acid – a natural derivative of sugar cane, glycolic acid is great for helping clear up acne, reduce fine lines & wrinkles, minimise pores & even skin tone out by sloughing off the dead cells!

There’s 5% glycolic acid in this & personally I think this is soothing enough for first time acid users to even incorporate into their routine.

If you use this for the first time & experience any warmth, tingling or burning, rinse it off & try applying it to a damp cotton pad the next time – it should dilute it enough to get your skin used to it!

As well as glycolic acid, it also contains Aloe Vera for hydration & to soothe the skin, ginseng to promote cell health & give a glow & also white horse chestnut to boost blood flow – this will give you a plump, glowing look!

I’ve always kept a bottle in my bathroom cupboard since I started using this, I might stop using it now & then, but I always come back to it.

This stuff is amazing for getting rid of congestion! I get loads of bumps under the skin on my chin occasionally, so I’ll whip this out, apply it every evening & within a week, it’s sorted out my face!

It does say that you can use morning & evening, however I only use it once a day as I do worry it’ll dry my skin out if I apply twice a day – so do be careful with application, especially at first!

I’d definitely recommend this tonic – especially if you suffer with bumps under the skin & congestion. Go careful at first, but I think it’s a great introduction to acids without being to harsh on the skin! I actually didn’t rate the cleanser within this line much, but again, it’s a nice, gentle cleanser for first time acid users!
